Spot on stay
Everything was absolutely spot on.Bed really comfy, shower hot.Breakfast substantial and quality produce.Located close to town centre but far enough to avoid major noise.Will definitely use again.
Perfectly placed!
I had a lovely stay at Melrose guest house, with Tracey and Kevin who were very warm, welcoming and helpful with maps or places to see.The breakfast was hearty and exceptional which sets you up for the day!The room was comfortable with nice small touches, which make a difference.The BnB is right in the heart of the village of Ambleside with local shops, cafes and restaurants.If you’re taking the bus like I did from Windermere train station then the bus stop is a less than a minute away! from the guest house so very convenient.There are some lovely hikes and walks you can do directly from the village like Loughrigg Fell, and Rydal caves amongst others.I would recommend a stay here and would visit again!
Another great stay
Another great stay atMelrose with Tracy & Kevin, we stayed in room 1 which is spacious spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Room serviced daily which is a nice touch as not all places do this. The breakfast is superb great choices and cooked to perfection. Great location for the town centre and the bus station local bus service is great. Thanks for the lovely stay would highly recommend Melrose guesthouse it's our go to place in Ambleside
